Bali is Holistic Health Dreams

Does your heart crave wanderlust? Do you dream about traveling to far off destinations that light up your soul? A foreign place that will evoke all of your senses? When travel restrictions ease and you feel safe to travel - where are you going next? My suggestion is to book your next plane ticket to BALI - holistic bliss on all levels!

Bali is the island where magic feels real - where your mind, body and soul are guided by a spiritual essence that envelops you from the start.

Bali is an Indonesian island famous for its breathtaking scenery, lush vegetation, volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, stunning beaches, coral reefs, amazing organic food, religious temples, purifying waters, yoga/meditation retreats and surfer’s paradise! A euphoric experience for all of the senses.

Where to Stay:

Whether you're looking to stay at a small eco hotel, resort, or rent a villa - the island is full of options.

Gravity Boutique Hotel
Ulu Watu

Gravity Boutique Hotel

The Gravity Hotel is a small eco-boutique property on Bali's south west coast, five minutes from Padang Padang beach, one of Bali’s best beaches and surf spots! Ulu Watu has been attracting surfers since the seventies with its massive swells, turquoise waters and limestone cliffs.

The hotel offers private suites or bungalows that surround a beautiful pool and lush greenery. Rustic wood, clean white stone, and open air bathrooms make the vibe here Bali Bohemian!

The food is local, fresh, and organic. Let the concierge arrange private surf lessons or a tour of the local and famous Ulu Watu Temple. Gravity is the ultimate place to invigorate your creativity and surrender to the sea and sun!

The Purist
Ubud

The Purist is where you surrender to the simplicity of holistic health. A boutique resort of relaxation near Ubud, Bali’s spiritual and artistic heart. Ubud will show you stunning views of rice fields, traditional rituals, and the cultural energy of the local Balinese people.

The Purist is comprised of 18 uniquely styled villas with a deep sense of tranquility, you literally feel at peace here and the energy is pure BLISS!

The food here is a range of local and seasonal menus based on nutritious and minimally processed ingredients, a true healing experience for your digestive system.

The spa offers a beautiful yoga studio and a variety of holistic treatments including a specialized Ayurveda treatment. It begins with a brief lifestyle interview that tailor techniques to optimize your results - whether it is a general improvement in wellbeing or to help deal with a specific issue. Often referred to as “the sister science” to yoga, Ayurveda is the ancient art and science of keeping the body and mind balanced and healthy. This place is truly a holistic experience for the mind, body and soul!

Indiana Kenanga Boutique Hotel
Nusa Lembongan

Indiana Kenanga Hotel

Nusa Lembongan is an island off the southeast coast of Bali, about 40 minutes by fast boat. Famous for its crystal blue waters and white powder sand. The island is perfect for relaxing, snorkelling and swimming!

Indiana Kenanga is a hotel right on the beach - wake up and have breakfast with your feet in the sand! The vibe is laidback, natural, and beachy boho. Morning yoga on the beach, afternoon snorkelling in the reefs, dinner at the most amazing organic restaurant, evening cocktails while Balinese musicians and dancers perform on the beach. This place is literally a holistic health dream like you're in a beautiful meditation in paradise!

Yoga Studios:

Bali has become known as the “modern day yoga center of the world”. Yogis from all over the globe come to Bali for yoga training, retreats, and cleansing.

The Practice
Canggu

Beautiful Balinese teak, lush greenery and the smell of lotus incense fill the air as you enter this beautiful studio - a secret oasis in the middle of busy Canggu. Canggu is known for its restaurants, cafes, nightlife and surf. A mecca for creatives looking for inspiration in food, business and innovation. The Practice is the perfect place to escape and set your intentions for the day in a sunrise class! The studio is based in traditional Tantric Hatha, not the yoga to become super flexible or to work out, but to still the chattering in your mind and to bring awareness to your consciousness. You will leave class feeling clear, energized and floating!

Yoga Barn
Ubud

Yoga Barn Ubud

The Yoga Barn is probably Bali’s best known yoga studio! A tropical oasis and the epicentre of yoga, self discovery, healing, and renewal - tucked in the heart of downtown Ubud.

The pace at Yoga Barn is intrinsically led by Balinese culture, enveloped by the Hindu traditions of Bali, embodying the healing medicines of Ubud.

With seven studios on the property, there are 130 different classes offered per week including yoga, meditation, dance, healing, health and wellness. The main studio is an open air large space constructed with teak and bamboo. The scent of jasmine floats around as you and the sound of birds in the forest take you to the highest vibration as you lay in final savasana. A class at the Yoga Barn is an absolute MUST while in Bali!

Where to Eat:

Food in Bali is the way food should be - clean, healing and organic. With hundreds of cafes, restaurants and street food vendors it's hard to know where to begin!

Shady Shack
Canggu

Shady Shack

This rustic cafe is a picture perfect location! A small beautiful “shack” with tables nestled in the gardens that surround it - Shady is a vegan and vegetarian heaven. Every dish is delicious and looks like a culinary work of colourful art. Open at 7:30am for breakfast, Shady offers the most amazing options from superfood smoothies (my fave is the Kale Storm) to dragonfruit chia pudding. For lunch my *go to favourites* are the Bees Knees Vegan Nachos, Jackfruit Tacos or the Cauliflower Nasi Goreng. The tropical garden is stunning, and the beauty about Shady is that you can sit at shared tables with people from all over the world... It totally adds to the experience!

Sayuri Healing Raw Vegan Cafe
Ubud

Sayuri is a holistic food heaven. This place offers chef training, raw food master classes, fermentation classes, live music and online holistic cooking courses. The menu offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with everything from fresh and local fruits and juices to organic salads, soups, bowls and vegan desserts that will blow your mind! Sayuri is truly where holistic food and art collide - an absolute must while in Ubud!

Mudra
Ubud

Mudra Ubud

An Ayurvedic concept for conscious foodies. Mudra is a dining experience, fifteen people at a time - intimate and connected. Serving some of Bali’s best coffee, drinks, and Ayurvedic island food. Everything is sourced fresh from the nearby farm or ocean. A few of my favourites are the Avo Gado Gado and the Matcha Cassava Pancakes!

My absolute most favourite thing about Bali is the constant temptation to wander! Exploring will lead you to find hidden gems everywhere you go!

Special Spots:

La Brisa
Canggu

La Brisa is one of my most favourite places in Bali! A unique place that transforms from day to night. Located right on Echo Beach, La Brisa is a rustic, Balinese dream space! On  Sundays, there is a local farmer’s market with organic produce, art, baked goods, medicinal Jamu and natural beauty products. Start your Wednesday mornings with oceanside yoga on the beach. Have lunch in one of the wooden cabanas or dance the night away with international DJ’s five nights a week. The multipurpose space will keep you coming back for more!

Ulu Watu Temple

Locally known as Pura Luhur, the temple is one of the most spectacular places on the entire island and is regarded as one of the six most important temples in Bali. Perched on top of a steep cliff, 70 meters above sea level, the temple dates back to the 11th century and is situated at land’s end to protect from evil spirits. Most people come to the temple in the early evening to watch the amazing silhouette at sunset. After sunset, there is a traditional Balinese dance called Kecak. The performance is beautiful, a great way to get a glimpse into Balinese performance art and the setting is stunning!

Mount Batur

Batur is a volcano located in the Kintamani district. It's the most active volcano in Bali with the most recent eruption happening in 2000. Mount Batur is 5600 feet above sea level, so it's a long way up! If you're into adventure, sunrise at Mount Batur is worth it. Trust me! The trek starts around 1:30am and you are paired with a small group and guide. The climb is done in the midnight dark and takes about 2.5 hours to reach all the way up. You’ll arrive at the summit just in time for sunrise - the most spectacular sight you will ever see! Explore the volcano, have breakfast and marvel at the beauty that surrounds you. The experience is physical, mental and emotional. Your soul will be vibing high for days.

There are a million reasons to put Bali on the top of your travel list. It truly is a magical place that fills your spirit on all levels. If you're searching for a dream destination to holistically feed all of your senses - pack your bag and book your ticket!
